Security Tips to Protect your Online Banking Account

Banking | Internet Banking | Bill Pay | Security Tips | Enhanced Security Login | Debit Overdraft Protection

There are several simple and effective security techniques we encourage you to implement when you use online banking:

  1. MEMORIZE your User ID and Password. Be sure to set a Password that is unique and doesn't contain personal information or is something easy to guess.
  2. NEVER allow your Internet browser to store your information. Many browsers will ask you to save this information so you don't have to type it every time you use an online service. Although useful, storing personal access codes in this manner is a big security risk.
  3. Change your Password frequently by logging in and using the "Change Password" option located in the "User Options" menu.
  4. When you are finished conducting business, use the "Log Off" button instead of simply closing your browser. This will ensure that your secure session has been closed.
  5. Run routine audits on your computer to ensure a virus free machine.
